For your peace of mind, every Southland home comes with a limited lifetime warranty. It's simply the best in the business.

From the floor to the roof, we provide and engineer everything you need to get your house dry-in, including interior studs and stair framing kits.  Our roof and floor systems are designed for structural strength regardless of your building location.

Every Southland log home is engineered in our mills, not on your job site.  Each log is pre-cut, numbered and notched to save you weeks of valuable construction time.

The logs for your Southland home will have been placed in a high temperature dry kiln that removes water and moisture from the logs.  This greatly reduces the opportunity for shrinking and settling.

Southland's round logs are 8" thick, which provides 33% more wood than most log homes.  This not only looks better but also saves money in meeting the energy code requirements of many states, not to mention lower utility bills.

Each log is individually graded under the direction of TPI to insure the quality and integrity of every log.

A real log beam system (24" on center between the first and second floor) gives your new log home that special touch of beauty and warmth.

All Southland logs and siding are treated with Timbor - a natural borate solution that provides the highest protection against insects and decay.

These self-tapping, self-countersinking, engineered metal fasteners come standard with your house.  They are designed with more pulling power and can save you up to 25% of the log stacking time.

Log siding is provided on all Southland log homes to cover the girder sill plates and the roof dormers.  This maintains the log look for you without having to make special foundation or roof adjustments.

Wherever you have heated space we use full logs to maintain the energy efficiency of your log wall system.  We use log siding only in the attic or by special request.

Your Southland log home package comes with full log porch posts and lintel supports for your roof system.  Since we pre-cut, we can offer this feature to increase the beauty of your home and make it easier to build.  Covered porches and decks include 2"x6" pressure treated framing and decking material.  Unique guardrails and pickets are supplied on all porches and decks providing safety and a look you won't find anywhere else.

If you prefer to create a cathedral ceiling constructed of 4x10 beams, 2x6 SYP T&G decking and foam insulation panels, it can be added as an upgrade to any area of your house upon request.

Southland's two story homes come with 8'6" high walls as a minimum to give you full clearance of 8' under the floor beam system where there is no cathedral ceiling.

Every Southland log home comes with base logs that are already grooved for your electrical wiring. This saves much time and labor on your job site.

Southland windows come standard with energy efficient, Low-E argon filled glass sashes, 1x6 pine exterior trim and screens factory installed.  The double hung, tilt-removable sashes make it very easy to clean and maintain your windows.  Aluminum clad upgrades are available upon request.

All Southland entry doors are fiberglass. For your convenience, they come pre-hung and are factory bored for your own locksets. A unique wooden rolling French door can also be added to your house saving you precious interior space while adding beauty and value.

Every Southland log home includes the best exterior wood finish to protect your home and keep it beautiful for years to come.  Also standard is caulking to seal the joints on your home.  It readily accepts the exterior wood finish and has a high degree of elasticity to move with the seasons.  We found a special color - "Southland Tan" to match your logs.

1"x 8" pine paneling option can be added to any house for use in ceilings or walls.

Along with removing water and moisture from your logs to reduce weight, Southland goes to great lengths to prepare and package the materials for your house to minimize the number of trucks needed for delivery.  Material labeling makes it very easy to find your material as you are building your home.
